Mystic Knight Maya
A downloadable game for Windows
[GAMEPLAY]
It's a 2D action platformer with light metroidvania elements, such as non-linear exploration, inventory system, special skills and dialogue. The heroine Maya begins the adventure on the beaches of a mysterious island, and she will need to explore it in order to find a way to escape.
While exploring the island, Maya will encounter its many quirky inhabitants, and they hunger for outsiders like her! Maya will have to navigate this dangerous environment while uncovering the mysteries surrounding her arrival!
[CONTROLS]
You can rebind the controls as you wish, and there's some limited support to gamepads. The default keyboards controls are:
- X: Basic Attack/Confirm/NextDialogue
- Z: Jump/Cancel/SkipDialogue
- C: Camera Look Up and Down/Zoom (during erotic scenes)
- D: Dash (need to acquire skill first)
- D+Down Arrow: Sliding Tackle (need to acquire skill first)
- SPACEBAR: Initiate Interaction/TalkToNPC
- P: Pause the game/Open In-Game Menu
- T: Toggle Internal Views (during all ero scenes, at certain points)
- ESC: Open/Close In-Game Menu
- To teleport between save points, acquire the crimson scepter and then choose the "Teleport" option in the In-Game menu

This is a game that works only on windows machines 64bit. There is no planned support for 32bits versions of windows, nor other OS such as android, mac or linux.

ight so i have a small thing that im going to have to say here. why in the lords name are the demon bombs only 2 escence? not only do they destroy every normal enemy instantly and barely give a draw back but they SHRED bosses. now to be honest becease i have skill issue i probably couldnt have killed the witch and maybe high tech if i didnt have them but jesus christ man. now i would like to remind you that rune bombs cost more than this which arent only harder to use but do significantly less damage. either make it so the practically nuclear bombs do low or no damage to bosses or just make them more excpensive as it makes the game mind numblingly easy. for the rest the game is pretty cool. why vore though?
and before you say it yes i turned off the vore

Found a bug though that locked up my game: the gate from the forest to the hills can still be "interacted" with after you open it, playing the little scene of Maya opening it again... except the gate is already gone, so the game just locks up because there's no gate to be opened... I'd had to reload (cause of the other problem below) so I tapped too fast through the scene and ended up triggering it again and locking myself inside the cutscene...
Also, might be because I have the whip, but I couldn't find a way to attack barrels under me, which was awkward in the start of the hills area, where there's barrels on top of the timed gate... they fell down into the path forward, making it so I couldn't get through, but the timed gate had closed behind me so I just got totally stuck there...
I think should better half the defences from the upgrades and rings, that's clearly too strong. I only died from vore or traps, dmg is nothing in the game xD
Did you think about it to give the Lust-Value a little bit more purpose? Maybe add a ring, that give you dmg proportional to Lust? Or add 2-3 NPC's with that you can interact with a special event with enough lust.
And if you add a ring that does dmg after ero end, then it adds a little more play-styles I think.
The most bosses have to less hp, they dies to fast. The witch, hi-tech and swamp bosses are ok with the hp.

2- Should enemies like flies, bees and the ants in the sewers could have a boss? Like a Queen Insect or Alpha Insect? (No Vore plz 🙏🏻)
3- Also i do like the idea about the curse of the werewolf. I dont mind have it in another type of enemy.

Whenver I try to continue the dialogue for the special endings in the gallery/arena, it just resets me, since the respawn button and the continue dialogue button are the same input. Is there a way to fix that? Is that problem not there in the main game when encountering enemies naturally?
You can use the "confirm" or "cancel" buttons to advance each dialogue. The spacebar function is best reserved only to interact and initiate events.
This is the closest you will get to an Souls-Like H-Game. Graphics are consistant and fluid. Puzzles are legitimately challenging at times. Enemies have well-telegraphed and distinct attacks. Main protagonist is a likable character. World building takes advantage of the elements and the denizens always fit in perfectly. Combat and platforming requires a good bit of skill, if you need an easy way out, the games got you there too!
A very enjoyable game, and that's not even including the hard H baby...
Each NPC you encounter in the wilds wants you bad. All of whom are capable of providing a great handful of entertainment ;). The diversity of enemies explores many guilty pleasures, with each enemy having 1-3 custom H all for sweet innocent Maya. With all said, it's a true masterpiece compared to many games found on Itch.
Since bugfix 0.7.5, game runs quite smoothly, controls are pretty standard, but with a wide variety of maneuvers and attacks the game provides, it can truly keep you on your toes. One issue I had found, however, was during the happy ending featuring the werewolf. Between each intimate animation between the NPC and character, our beloved would switch to idle animation between switching positions.
(TL;DR): Good H, Good gameplay, Good game!

Bug Report:
I was grabed from a bees/hornets while I switch a lever. Now I jiggle while ero with bees. Every other enemy are normal still. But, restart or pull a lever don't fix it now, what do I do now? xD
I mean this time I have record it.. but... It is not really possible to upload it here? I clicked on the play symbol, but I can only put a link from YT or Vimeo.
Edit: Oh ok, that was not the levers fault, it happen by enraged bees.

Hello! I've been loving the game, and had a few ideas i wanted to suggest while playing. The armor break system is fun and not bad at all, but while playing it feels like a few things could make it better/more immersive.
Firstly, vore in my opinion should be able to take place while in armor, and there could be a percentage change that while vore is taking place the armor dissolves/breaks.
secondly, i think that sexual acts should be able to happen while in armor (grabbing, and of course any animation that makes sense while armor is on) and that instead of armor breaking, the mechanic could change to something like getting sticky or dirty from all the fluids. i think the underwear breaking makes sense, and should also apply to the vore idea above (dissolving during vore). i think it makes sense monsters work towards stripping you down/bogging you down with fluids to so they can get you naked, rather than just breaking your armor and underwear before being able to do anything.
it would be a good place for a debuff depending on how much you've allowed to happen; the more sexual acts while in armor makes your body sticky and thus harder to move in the armor. the debuff could be something simple like the armor break meter, and the higher it is the slower you move and/or defenses drop. at a full meter, you could be unable to jump or use dash skills while in armor, incentivizing players to remove it in the pause menu or clean it.
you could then change the armor repair item to a vial of water, or some sort of item to clean yourself off that you buy with essence or find out in the wild. you could even include where areas of water exist, it washes you clean depending on the source of liquid (muddy water areas wouldn't make sense getting you clean for example). of course using the fairy maiden to clean armor/repair underwear would still make sense!
it would also be funny to see that the higher the meter, regardless of armor on you have a chance to slip or stumble because of the fluids. if this was implemented I'd also change the animation after a sexual encounter to Maya disgusted at the fluids on her, instead of the flailing and damage like animation that exists now.
this was just an idea i had while playing, and its quite a lot but would be pretty interesting and immersive to everything going on, because right now it feels like the difference between armor and underwear vs. naked is a little too high. but of course i'm not a programmer, so its just a suggestion!

Interestingly enough, the system that you're describing for the armor, sticky status effect, etc those were similar to ideas that I originally had for this game way back when it was still an idea in my head.
Issue is, when it came time to implement it, I realized that it would indeed be an enormous amount of work to account for all these variables, and the framework that I had already laid down (when it comes to the pixel art animations) would not be able to support such system. Ultimately I had to scrap this idea entirely.
But for my next game (after I finish MKM), I already designed a system such as that I will be able to implement these things, so the erotic animation will be able to support a variety of armor/clothing (and in different states of disrepair), as well as factoring in stickiness and other fun status effects.
Yeah i kind of figured it would be a ton of work, especially with how many animations exist in this game as of now so absolutely no worries. I'm enjoying the game as it is, but I'm glad to hear your experimenting with similar ideas in future works, definitely excited to see what else you make!!
Bug reports:
Sometime I jump on an enemy, the Ero jeet in one direction xD
Sometime the game crashed. It happand in 1h 2 times. Don't really get why. Both time an enemy was near by and I change the direction while do an action. Maybe because of something of this or it was a coincidence, don't know. :/

Oh no crashing is bad! But you can help me to fix it, go to this path on your system:

If you can upload the folder "Crashes" and its contents, inside are text logs of the errors that might caused the crash. I can take a look and try to fix it.
Sadly I haven't record it, try it next time.

If there is no Crashes folder, then are there at least log files in the MKM folder? There should be some "Player.log" that could help us out. You can open these in any text editor to see its contents.
If you'd like you can make a copy of it, open and edit it to redact your windows username or the GPU that you use (the only user identifiable info in this log), then send me this copy so that I can analyse it and find the crash report.
Lol the username seems to be ignored in the logs and and I don't see any GPU line. Maybe the logs don't show it itself? xD

It's a little weird. Last time I searched a save date for a game and it should have an equal path, but there was no one. Have you an crash.log there or is something on my pc weird?

The ero-jeet-bug didn't happend again. A little weird, before I end the game for the first time it happend more frequently. Maybe it needs a special condition. So I have no record for you sorry. :o
But I give you a description, maybe you can don't know. The jeet-direction was the direction from the jump. The ero stays on the ground and climb for 1 block high, and if it don't manage it, it jeet trough. After the ero the enemy is in the new location and Maya stays where the ero has started. The jeet-speed shuold be movement-speed, but not sure.
A minigame while ero-scene is like: "Look we have h-animations" "Look we has put a feature there, so that you watch on the minigame and not on the animation" xD
Btw. its a little bit annoying that these essences hides evereything while ero, maybe put a little distance there, or on the ero on the foreground? And also a little annoying that i have to use it with the right hand.. Maybe include a seperate key for this in the options? I bind it now on s, but now it's a little annoying to climb ladders <.<
And is there a coldown on saving or something like that? I have too wait a little before saving works. :/
For what are these belt-upgrates? I bought them, but saw nothing changed?

Haha the board mini-game was just a test idea, it won't be in the final game. I will try to hide the essence orbs.
There is a 1-2 seconds cooldown to save again, but I mean, why would you need to spam machine-gunning the save function \_(o.O)_/ lol
In the final version of the game, those belt-upgrades will unlock more slots to equip items. But for now it's testing purposes so all slots are unlocked from the start.

Ah now I know the problem. I thought I have to wait after touching to safe. Now I see it's only after changing the screen. Seems I have to wait, until the biom-name dissapear before I can save. I got confused sorry ^^'
I can't seem to save in this game. Is there a point in the game where saving becomes available?
The game is inspired by the classics, meaning you can only save at specific points. Namely, look out for big red monuments in the shape of chess pieces. When Maya is near them, open up the pause menu and you'll be able to save.

There's a bug where I can't go down this specific ladder in the Dungeon area.
Even though the ladder before this one works.
Pressing the down arrow key only results in Maya looping the descent animation without going anywhere.
On second glance, it seems like the ladder is blocked from beneath. It was just difficult to see because it's on top of the gate xD
You're right, it is visually confusing. I'll change the display order so that the closed gates render on top of the ladder.
Please make a sex scene with the centaur futa, maya can escape from. Getting fucked on all forth to get a taste of the marriage <3

Bug report: After beating the young mother I went back to the castle and it just plays the amulet cutscene again and it softlocks

There is only in relation between version 0.7.4 to 0.7.5
But from the years old version that was here: 0.3.3 to 0.7.5 then no. There's pages and pages of new stuff but I didn't compile it all in a single text file, so you'll have fun and explore all the new things on your own!

You can enter the high-tech area after you beat the witch in the deep caves.

Please consider making a sex interaction with the dogs in the city, where maya can escape from <3 getting knotted doggy style, gaining essence, to have an erotic option besides the training that ends into game over :)
Same with the centaur futa ^_^ a second intercourse option, in which Maya gets a taste of the marriage.
That could complicate the game logic a bit haha

i played this game (early beta version) and did absolutely everything i could, unlocking all items and areas. i think it is a very good game and you should play it, although im confused what the hell that thing at the bottom of the dungeon is

oh one thing i had issues with was that puzzle hall or whatever. I dont know if its been changed as of resent but i found the third and fourth lever before finding the second. The only way i got to the second was by jumping off a centaur's back and using the upwards fire, which i dont think is the intended way. I might be stupid. Also i was expecting a big kraken when i went out to the beach boss

So when is it going to occur for bosses to be put into the arena as well as having a lil' bit more on lesbian foot worshipping...I also feel that Maya should have her own grapple mechanism to being the sexual initiator instead of being the one to submit to the monsters.
For hard-coded and mechanical reasons, boss fights can't be added into the arena, but you can still see their animations in the gallery tough. Also you can freely fight them again in their respective stages. Maya is a shy and inexperienced girl, so she won't be the initiator in this adventure.

Yes, but I'm working on up-to-date version in a closed beta on my patreon. Once the development is completed (this year 2025!) it will be released here, and this page will be updated.
I have heard great stuff about your game, and I’d love to give it a try for myself, but the only devices I have are mobile devices… so could you maybe make a mobile version of the game? Because if you could that would be great and if the stuff I’ve heard about your game is true… then I would play this game every day and it would be my new favorite game!

For my future project I will definitely consider mobile platforms from the get go!
But as for my current work on MKM, it is sad to say that I have no plans to support mobile, as it would require a big rework to the user interface, control scheme, etc because I didn't plan for it from the start.
Once I finish development (version 1.0) I might take a look at porting to mobile, but that's a huge maybe, so no promises.

In the options menu, you can configure controls/buttons, and the one for "internal view" also toggles the minimap. Hold it for 1 second to toggle its state.
What a wonderful game, I'm a big fan. Some constructive criticism:
Overthink some dialogues, the one with the Minotaur ending for example seems to be a bit unnecessarily over insulting, if you know what I mean.
The rest of the game, except for some crazy eaten-by-dick scenes (I guess some crazy patreons payed for it...), is pure gold <3 thanks for the work

The dev uploaded version 0.7 on their patreon. If you really want the game go there and become a member. The game is still actively being updated but it doesn't seem like it will be released to the public.

Yes, I'm getting closer and closer to finishing the development, aiming for version 1.0, and at that point the completed game will be released here on itch, and I will update this page.
alright so literally nothing happened since the announcement of the gallery being actually made, which was ~17 months ago (as of 30.05.2024)
so either the game has been put on an indefinite hiatus, or all the updates are exclusive to patreon supporters, making the public version a demo of sorts (which has a good amount of content)

There is a version 0.6.6, but I doubt it will be released here, I believe its only for patreon. Kinda bummed to see the game going this way, but hey, good thing about the internet is that everything is free if you look hard enough ;)

Your second guess is correct; I somewhat neglected this itch page (for now) and have been active on my patreon page, and the game is now in version 0.7 with an ocean of new content. When I reach version 1.0, I will finally update this page again with the final completed version.
Well then i'll be waiting in anticipation!

Yes actually, for my next game (in the future) one of the planned features is character and clothing customization, which will allow for erotic scenes with the girls being dressed up in costumes, underwear, etc.
